Visual Budget - Finances App Reviews

If youre trying to get your finances in order or if youre like me and youre married and have multiple accounts to keep track of and a budget youre trying to stick to, this app is your best friend. I manage my money with this app like its a pocket version of quick books. Ive been entering every transaction since 2014 and while it is manually entry unlike mint, I find that since I am forced to enter every penny I spend it makes me more aware and protective of my money and I am more responsible with spending it. This app has helped me save and pay off several loans. I recommend it to everyone I can.

Visual budget is the best app that i saw so far. Its free for 10 transactions so we can try and test the functionality. I tried it, like it and so I just upgraded to the full version. Few suggestions to make a great app even better: 1. After an account group is in use, provide a facility to create new categories and update them automatically to all accounts of that group. 2. Enable display of reports without saving a pdf file. This is because we like to just view the report and not save as a file. Maybe this is an iPhone issue.

I have been an daily user if this app for several years...but I must frown on the latest icon...my eyes are trained for the prior icon...this really throws me off. I have all my expenses @ my fingertips...Im able to track my spending penny for penny. I use to write everything manually in my debit/check register, no need for that anymore, since my phone is always in my hands, so much easier to just punch it in, track my balance and go. The day to day balance also lets you post date and back date payments in case you forgot or may forget to record a payment or deposit. The transaction categories enables me track exactly were my money went, whether its credit card payments, utility bills, or entertainment expenses. It also keeps track of any unreconciled (outstanding) payments. Bottom line is if youre as anal as I am about tracking your pennies...in todays economy, this is definitely a must have app. Thanks guys when it comes to an everyday app, this is a winner, everyday all day Im logging in...I love it even more with each update

It is fantastic. I use it to keep my budget on track. Ive used it for almost 2 years and it has only gotten better. I really like setting the recurring payments so that I also know if Im ok for the next several weeks. And being able to see where my money is going.

I never ever write app reviews but I had to for this one. I used to use YNAB and it was a pain, especially after they came out with the new version. I dont WANT to download my bank info to my phone. This app doesnt require that and it is smooth as silk. Tons of visual ways to look at how and where you spend money. Absolutely glitch free uploading to the cloud in seconds and downloading to my Mac. Thank you for this wonderful app!

I have been using this app for several years now and its perfect for me. I manage two checking and one saving account. The app is so easy to use and allows me to split my accounts into groups so that I can budget and stay organized. Love it!

This application has been very useful. Unfortunately, it only manages in USD so I could only give it 4 stars. Please consider other currencies to make this application even more useful for those of us who live overseas.

This is a great app! It allows you to keep track of multiple accounts whether they are a checking, savings or a credit card account. You get to chose the categories you want for each expense and this system allows you to put in recurring expenses that can show up on a weekly or monthly basis. It allows you to review your expenses without the fear of someone gaining access to the app. It is a little work intensive at the beginning when setting up the accounts and types of expenses, but well worth it in the end!

I dont really know how to use/need the more advanced features like importing expense record files, but I use this every time I make a transaction. Its great for keeping my accounts up to date even before my banking app has reconciled it and it helps me track how I spend and project for the future

This is my favorite budget tracker app because its very very easy to use. My only qualm is the fact that you have to take a square photo of your receipts. This is actually a big qualm seeing as receipts are always rectangular? And the fact that you cannot take multiple pictures to add to each transaction. If the receipt is extra long, youre going to have to choose which part of the receipt is most important to save. This is not optimal for doing taxes at the end of the quarter. So I have to still save my receipts which defeats half the purpose of having the app. They fix this problem, I will be happy to change my review to five stars

Its a great app!! Keeps all finances in order. Its worth money!! I cant live without it.

Was looking for an app that I can install in my phone and Mac and keep the information in sync. This app accomplishes this without the need of paying a monthly fee. You just pay the one time fee and use your iCloud to maintain the database. The only catch is to remember to export/import the database on each device, to keep the information updated on each device, but I can leave with that.
